Complete Re-Design of OEM’s Fully Electric Chemical Dispersion & Application Unit
Situation: OEM’s full electric insecticide application equipment pulled from market after catastrophic field failures. GA was tasked to redesign the unit given their successful prior full production takeover (assembly and supply chain) of OEM’s two gas-powered dispensing equipment lines.
Solution: GA’s electromechanical design and reengineering capabilities were utilized to develop a new fully electric unit from the ground up. The redesign included a proprietary 30,000 RPM fluid dispensing brushless motor as well as a complex precision drive, monitoring system and console. All component suppliers were sourced by GA. The product was successfully reintroduced into the market by the OEM.
Partnership: GA supports the OEM in supplying machines globally and oversees the entire supply chain. GA remains involved in continuous improvement projects for the next iteration of all similar application equipment with OEM.
